Since opening in January of 1994, the Country Club of Ocala has hosted numerous USGA, regional PGA, and Florida State Golf Association events such as the Florida Mid-Amateur Championship (2002), the State Senior Amateur Championship (2000), the US Womens Amateur Championship Qualifying (1999), and the 1998 Southeast Challenge Matches.  Most recently, the club hosted the 2006 Amateur Match Play, the 2007 State Junior Championship and the 2009 FSGA Challenge.
