Silver Springs is hailed as "Natures Theme Park" with the world famous fresh water springs being the head of the crisp clean Silver River and it's many tributaries. The main spring spews crystal clean drinking water from the Florida Aquifer and is responsible for much of the water supplied to the many important rivers and streams such as the Ocklawaha River and and a vital source of drinking water for the surrounding community of Ocala and Marion County.
